Trash Pickup
Town of Remington provides trash service that is included in your water bill.
- Trash pick up is every Friday except on Holidays or inclement weather.
- In the event that refuse collection is not done on Friday as scheduled, trash will be picked up the next business day. We will make every effort to inform you that trash will not be picked on the scheduled day.
- Trash needs to be bagged and put in trash cans. Do not set trash out in bags only.
- To comply with Town Code, trash is only to be set out no more than 24 hours before pick up.
Items that we do not pick up:
PCP’s, refrigerant containing waste, blood borne pathogen waste, radioactive waste, asbestos, pesticides, bio-medical waste, septage, explosives, compressed gas, flammable liquid/solids, poisons, corrosives, ashes and incinerator residues, tires, televisions, microwaves, UPS back—up systems, FAX machines, copiers, paint, household cleaners, photographic chemicals, battery acid, garden products, insect spray cans, gasoline, driveway sealer, rodent control products, lacquers, ant bait, and mineral spirits.
No Yard Waste will be picked up.

The Recycling Center, located in Remington, is now gated with an attendant.
The Recycling Center is located on the east side of South James Madison Street past the car wash and next to Andes Grocery
Items to recycle include:
- Glass
- Brown, Green & Clear
- Cardboard
