The Remington Police Department is a small, dedicated team committed to keeping our town safe and building strong relationships with residents. We're part of the community—patrolling neighborhoods, responding quickly, and joining in events that bring folks together.

Chief of Police: Charles T. Proffitt Chief Proffitt was appointed by the Town Council on November 21, 2011, after joining the department as an officer in October 2006. He leads a team of officers who handle daily patrols, investigations, and community outreach.
The department stays active in town life, including hosting the annual National Night Out (typically the first or second Tuesday in August) with food, games, prizes, and a chance to meet officers and neighbors on the Town Hall lawn. They also participate in other local events to stay connected.
